Brooke worked throughout the nonprofit sector for years before entering the charter school world with wide-eyes, privileged ignorance, and an open-heart for children. As an administrator, she wore many hats and continued to gain momentum in and passion for philanthropy. Here, she recognized her desire to work with populations and communities disparately impacted by policy, the need for racial equity among our children (and adults), and her ability to connect organizations serving those populations to the resources necessary to reduce inequity.
Brooke completed her undergraduate degree in English Communications at University of Missouri St. Louis. She then continued on to earn a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Administration from Lindenwood University, where she sits on the athletic hall of fame with her 2011 Competitive Cheerleading teammates. She has recently completed fellowship in the 2020-2021 FOCUS Impact cohort. In her (very little) free time, Brooke likes to garden, hike, and travel.
